Alas-Wings is a 501(c)(3) non-for profit organization, dedicated to empowering Latina women about breast cancer awareness through comprehensive education, support for all women faced with a breast cancer diagnosis, and survivorship. I work with the owner, Judy, to bring value to all participants of this organization.
I have helped Judy elevate her organization's brand recognition within the Latino and Chicago community. We have updated Alas-Wings publicity materials and launched a new website. Through our efforts, Alas-Wings has been awarded grants from government agencies, businesses, and organizations like the Susan G Komen Foundation, the Grainger Foundation, and Bears Care.
Alas-Wings has also partnered with many Chicago hospitals such as Northwestern Hospital to bring educational workshops and forums to underserved communities. These forums have been so successful and much needed that Univision Chicago has taken notice and their main weekday anchor, Enrique Rodriguez, has moderated the forum.
A brand new look.
As the organization grew in services, locations, and members; we decided to redesign the website so that women can be informed of upcoming events, service locations, and breast cancer news. The website is mobile responsive and up-to-date with upcoming events.
